Brief
Milk is a magazine that resulted from a semester long print production class.

Description
It highlights fashion and real life interviews on how masculinity is challenged in a female dominated niche. At the same time, displaying fashion photography and editorial design.
Pre-flight
Topic
We were prompted to pick a topic, and I have always been told to write about what you like and what you know; fashion. Fashion had been predominately synonymous with women, until recently I have noticed more men sport full body pink outfits, floral shirts, and other non-conforming garments. Thus, I interviewed these people to find real answers to my curiosity.
Mood Board
For the most part, I let the interviewees have freedom with what they wore to the photo shoot. But I provided a mood board as a guide so that my final magazine, would have a cohesive creative direction. Full mood board here.

Layout
Layout explorations with placeholders. I wanted to challenge traditional straight column layouts and keep it "whimsical" and moving.
Draft
Layout explorations with real content. All photos are my own, (believe me)I would have collaborated with a photographer, but we were required to take our own photos.
draft 2
I took a pivot in direction because I concluded that(above) was more gimmicky than practical. The following(below) is a raw and honest approach, thus a better solution.
